Kidnovation. Imad Elabdala received support to think through his value proposition to customer and to social investors. When he got invited to present in the final at Reach for Change, we provided him individual pitching and prep sessions. Among more than 200 applicants, Imad was one of the three to get a grant and a place in the incubator.
The coaching I received for my final pitch made such a difference. It really helped me to structure what I wanted to say.’

 

Minduu – developed Finland’s first market place for people seeking a therapist or speaking partner due to depression or poor mental health. The founder secured their first seed round 6 months after the Investment Readiness programme and additional €150k a year later. 500 therapists are now paying to be listed on their platform as private people as well as several medical care units now use their service. During the Investment Readiness, the founder was also advised on what to offer in terms of partnerships and agreements to the first members of the team.

StormiePoodle. Upcycling of hotel’s old towels turned into lovely baby bathrobes. With an idea and first collection for how to reduce harmful chemicals in new clothes, the founder participated in Investment Readiness to understand how she could fund her business and learn how to pitch. Caroline von Post did her first ever pitch and during the programme she got her first external money, as we helped her apply for an innovation grant.

Gösta Sundberg – innovator from KTH. Gösta joined with his patent for building greener, more affordable flats and a desperate need to find a team and investors. He had been to several other advisors, but after our programme he said ’For the first time, I understand how an investment process works practically’.
One of Impact Invests partner invested in Gösta’s idea and brought people together to form the company Ljusbo. The company is now building its first production line.

IT Guide. This organisation is an non-profit and joined to learn how to consider the best type of funding – more revenues and how to propose better deals and to negotiate with municipalities. IT Guide had one city as client when the founder joined the programme and closed several new deals within the following year. She also successfully applied and pitched to Reach for Change.

 Ween Energy. We have many international teams that we have coached and most of them have secured funding. This Swedish-Iranian company that has started solar power production in the south of Iran and as a result on advising Ween Energy on company structure, building a financial model (as a team of all engineers they were not on top of the money side of things!) and then finally developing a great investor proposal. They secured 700k SEK during the programme and a have secured part of their goal of expanding the plant with a 100MSEK investment.
